Everybody is hyped about the Cleveland Cavs and the fact that LeBron teamed up with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving; at the same time they will have Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, Anderson Varejao, Mike Miler and James Jones as backup. This sounds pretty powerful and everybody is picking the Cavs as firm favorites for winning the NBA title, but what will happen after this season? The wolves from Minnesota will grow bigger. Check out some interesting NBA tips and predictions at http://www.bestbetonsports.com/
Minnesota gave up on Kevin Love, but they actually only realized the fact that Kevin Love is not a perfect fit for the team. He needs a big athletic backup on defense because even though he gets tons of rebounds and is considered to be Moses Malone of the modern era, he still can’t guard almost anybody in the league one on one. Now imagine a team that has 10 under 25 players on their wider list that can all battle for a place in the starting five and two of them being the top overall pick in the past two drafts. Sounds very interesting right? Well that’s what Minnesota got in this trade.
Besides Anthony Bennett, who showed some signs of improvement during the summer league, and Andrew Wiggins, who played so hard and athletic during the same period that he made people wondering if he can play even at SG; they also got Thaddeus Young who is still only 26 years old and is at the top of his game although he played out of position during his tenure at Philadelphia. For next season the Minnesota starting five could be consisted of Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, Thaddeus Young, Anthony Bennett and Nikola Pekovic. The average age of this bunch is 24 years and their average height will be well over 6’6’’. On top of that the bench will be filled with talent (Gorgiu Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad and Zach LaVine) and experience (Mo Williams, Kevin Martin and JJ Barea). With Rick Adelman out of the picture some of this young talented players will get lots of more minutes.
